Angband v4.2.0 (MacOS)
Angband v4.2.0 (MacOS) Angband is a free, single-player dungeon exploration game. You play an adventurer seeking riches, fighting monsters, and preparing for a final battle with Morgoth, the Lord of Darkness. Angband is a freeware, open-source computer game of dungeon exploration, based very loosely on the works of J.R.R. Tolkien. You explore a very deep dungeon, kill monsters, try to equip yourself with the best weapons and armor you can find. The goal of the game is to defeat Morgoth. Angband has a very long history. It started in 1990 as an improved and "Tolkienized" variant of Moria. Moria itself was created in 1985 and was inspired by Rogue (from the late 70s). The first version of Angband was created by Alex Cutler and Andy Astrand at the University of Warwick. The notable maintainers in the 90s were Charles Swiger and Ben Harrison. In 2000, Robert Ruhlmann took over. Starting March 2006, the game was looked after by Julian Lighton, and since April 2007 by Andrew Sidwell. Starting the release of 3.5.0 on Christmas Day 2013, the game is maintained by Nick. Angband is a member of a family of similar games called rogue-likes. Other well known games of this type are Nethack, Slash'Em or ADOM. Angband, with its source code available to general public, spun a lot of variants over time - versions of the game with changes against the original Angband. The original Angband game is referred to as Vanilla Angband. Angband is dual licensed, either under the historical Moria license, or under GPLv2. Angband Releases: 4.2.0 Background 4.2.0 was slated to make big changes to two important parts of the game: classes, and monsters. While each of these was big enough to deserve a minor version increase in its own right, doing both together so they could be balanced against each other was preferred. As ...

Fawkes v0.3
Fawkes v0.3 Image "Cloaking" for Personal Privacy 2020 is a watershed year for machine learning. It has seen the true arrival of commodized machine learning, where deep learning models and algorithms are readily available to Internet users. GPUs are cheaper and more readily available than ever, and new training methods like transfer learning have made it possible to train powerful deep learning models using smaller sets of data. But accessible machine learning also has its downsides. A recent New York Times article by Kashmir Hill profiled clearview.ai, an unregulated facial recognition service that has downloaded over 3 billion photos of people from the Internet and social media and used them to build facial recognition models for millions of citizens without their knowledge or permission. Clearview.ai demonstrates just how easy it is to build invasive tools for monitoring and tracking using deep learning. So how do we protect ourselves against unauthorized third parties building facial recognition models that recognize us wherever we may go? Regulations can and will help restrict the use of machine learning by public companies but will have negligible impact on private organizations, individuals, or even other nation states with similar goals. The SAND Lab at University of Chicago has developed Fawkes1, an algorithm and software tool (running locally on your computer) that gives individuals the ability to limit how their own images can be used to track them. At a high level, Fawkes takes your personal images and makes tiny, pixel-level changes that are invisible to the human eye, in a process we call image cloaking. You can then use these "cloaked" photos as you normally would, sharing them on social media, sending them to friends, printing them or displaying them on digital devices, the same way you would any other photo. The difference, however, is that if and when someone ...

FaxTool v0.20
FaxTool v0.20 Tiny TIFF/PDF Splitter and Joiner FaxTool is a simple freeware utility for splitting and joining (merging) TIFF and PDF files. Simply drag your files onto the interface to split or join. It is a single EXE, and requires no installation. Technical Notes • The intended design approach was to provide a quick helper utility for sending and receiving fax messages, which usually come in TIFF and PDF format. • FaxTool was developed using AutoHotkey for the wrapping interface, and is using command line executables for converting the files. The command line executables are already included and compiled into the FaxTool.exe file so you do not need to download them separately. • The first time you run FaxTool, it will extract these files to your Windows temporary folder: - pdftk.exe - i_view32.exe • When Splitting - the individual pages will be placed in the same folder as the input file, sequentially named. • When Joining - the output file is named after the first file in the list, followed by "_merged". PDFTKBuilder v3.10.0
PDFTKBuilder v3.10.0 Take control of your PDF documents - merge or split pages; stamp pages or add background watermarks; add page numbers; and even rotate pages. PDFTK Builder is a free graphical interface to PDFTK. Join - 'Join' allows you to combine pages from multiple PDF documents and/or rearrange pages in a single document (reorder, delete, & duplicate). Multiple documents will be joined in the order they are listed in the 'Source Documents' window. If you wished to insert pages from one document into the middle of another, the main document would have to be listed twice, once before (listing pages to appear before) and once after (listing pages to appear after) the document containing the pages to be inserted. If page ranges are not specified, PDFTK Builder will assume all pages for that document are to be included. Page ranges for each document in the list can be indicated by using a single page number, or a hyphen between start and end pages (reversed page orders are allowed). Multiple ranges are indicated by using commas or semi-colons between ranges. For example: Given the range "2-6,9,10" in a 12 page document, then pages 1,7,8,11 and 12 will be omitted from the output file. Split - separates each page of a PDF file into separate (numbered) PDF documents. For example: If the source document is MyPdfFile.pdf, then Split will create MyPdfFile_001.pdf, MyPdfFile_002.pdf, ... MyPdfFile_nnn.pdf etc for each page in the document. Background, Stamp & Page Numbering - 'Background' allows you to add a background to each page in a document or just the first page. The 'background' (eg a company logo, or a 'draft' watermark) must be another PDF document (the first page of that document if it has more than one page). 'Stamp' is very similar to 'background' except that the 'stamp' is placed on top ...

Policy Plus vJune 2021
Policy Plus vJune 2021 Local Group Policy Editor plus more, for all Windows editions. Goals Policy Plus is intended to make the power of Group Policy settings available to everyone. Run and work on all Windows editions, not just Pro and Enterprise Comply fully with licensing (i.e. transplant no components across Windows installations) View and edit Registry-based policies in local GPOs, per-user GPOs, individual POL files, offline Registry user hives, and the live Registry Navigate to policies by ID, text, or affected Registry entries Show additional technical information about objects (policies, categories, products) Provide convenient ways to share and import policy settings Non-Registry-based policies (i.e. items outside the Administrative Templates branch of the Group Policy Editor) currently have no priority, but they may be reconsidered at a later date. Quick intro At startup, Policy Plus opens the last saved policy source, or the local Group Policy Object (Local GPO) by default. To open a different policy source (like a Registry branch or a per-user GPO), use File | Open Policy Resources. Much like the official Group Policy editor, categories are shown in the left tree. Information on the selected object is shown in the middle. Policies and subcategories in the selected category are shown in the right list. By default, both user and computer policies are displayed, but you can focus on just one policy source using the drop-down in the upper left. To edit a policy, double-click it. If the selected setting applies to both users and computers, you can switch sections with the "Editing for" drop-down. Click OK to keep the changes to the setting. Notice: If a policy source is backed by a POL file (like Local GPO), changes to it will not be committed ...

Resource Hacker v5.2.4
Resource Hacker v5.2.4 A freeware resource compiler and decompiler for Windows applications. Resource Hacker is a resource editor for 32bit and 64bit Windows® applications. It's both a resource compiler (for *.rc files), and a decompiler - enabling viewing and editing of resources in executables (*.exe; *.dll; *.scr; etc) and compiled resource libraries (*.res, *.mui). While Resource Hacker is primarily a GUI application, it also provides many options for compiling and decompiling resources from the command-line. Compiling: Compiling can be initiated either by opening an existing resource script file, or by creating one from scratch using Resource Hacker's editor. A complete list of Resource-Definition Statements can be found here. Additional features of Resource Hacker's compiler include: The #INCLUDE directive (to access definition statements in header files etc) can be nested to multiple levels, as can the #IF, and #IFDEF directives. #DEFINE, #UNDEF, #IF, #ELIF, #ELSE, #IFDEF, #IFNDEF, #INCLUDE, and #PRAGMA directives are all supported. Strings, between double-quote (") characters, may contain typical 'C' style backslashed 'escaped' characters \t , , \\ , \" , \x, \u and \377 (octal). A double-quote within a string must be 'escaped' using either a preceding backslash or with another double-quote. Script comments are preceded either by double forward-slashes (//) or by a semi-colon (;). Filenames with relative paths are allowed. Filenames that contain spaces must be enclosed within double-quote characters. Compiler error messages are reported, even errors nested within INCLUDE statements... Viewing and Editing Resources: Once a resource file has been opened, its resources will generally be displayed as either an image (or group of images) or as decompiled text. Binary resources, usually images, can't be edited directly with Resource Hacker, but they can still be very easily exported and imported once they've been modified by an external image editor. (I see no benefit in duplicating what third-party image editors ...

SpaceSniffer v1.3.0.2
SpaceSniffer v1.3.0.2 SpaceSniffer is a freeWare and portable tool application that lets you understand how folders and files are structured on your disks. By using a Treemap visualization layout, you have immediate perception of where big folders and files are placed on your devices. Treemap concept was invented by Prof. Ben Shneiderman, who kindly permitted the use of his concept into this tool. Start a scan process and see the overall situation. Bigger are the elements on the view, bigger are folders and files on your disk. You need more detail on a big folder? Just single click on it. The selected element will be detailed with its content. Need more and more detail? Keep selecting elements and they'll discover their secrets to you. Need a larger view of a small folder? Then double click on it, and it'll zoom to the full extent of the view. If you need to understand why no more free space is left on media, keep following bigger elements. Maybe you want to focus only on particular file types... ok. Just type the file type on the filter field (example: *.jpg) and press enter. The view will react and show you only JPEG files. Want to exclude files? Then type a starting pipe before the filter (example: |*.jpg) and press enter. The view will show everything but JPEG files. If you want to keep track of examined files you can tag them. Four colors are available. Just hover the mouse on a file and press CTRL+1 to tag it red. There are keys also for yellow, green and blue tagging. Use them as you wish. You can also filter on tags (example: :red will show only red tagges files, :all will show all tagged files and so on). You can also exclude tagged files (example: |:red will exclude ...
